Worlds Away- 3A

You think for a moment. Yes, trust him. There's no one else around here anyways. What else will you do?
"Nox, I'll trust you, but if you are tricking me, you'll regret it," you tell him.
He smiles, and laughs a little, "Why would I deceive you? I have nothing to gain by that."
You consider this for a moment, and when you look back at him, he's not there.
"Hey!" you yell. A laugh comes from a few meters away, amongst the trees. You chase after it, the sky growing darker and darker as you follow his voice through the woods.
The trees are thicker and you can no longer see any sign of Nox. He has stopped laughing as well. You gaze around and realize with surprise that you are no longer standing amongst the trees. Massive stone pillars rise from the ground and a stone pathway is winding in amongst them. Ivy, vines, and other vegetation is covering the pillars, disguising them as larger trees.
"Nox," you call out hesitantly. This place has a sombre feel to it, like that of a graveyard.
Another laugh comes from farther away and you run towards the noise, going deeper into the forest of columns.
"Nox! Please!" you cry desperately, anxiety beginning to grip your insides. Despite the awful feeling, you continue walking through the ancient ruins. Suddenly someone touches your shoulder. You turn, expecting to see Nox, but instead a little girl stands there.
"Who are you?" she asks politely. "People don't come here. Did you follow Nox?"
"Yes," you reply, "Nox said he was going to help me. Do you know where he is?"
She frowned. "You should leave. It's not good for you to be here. Kala doesn't like strangers here. It makes him angry."
"Who's Kala?" you ask.
"Never mind who he is. Follow me." Nox is standing behind you again. He's glaring at the girl. "Go away Illu."
