To Arms! 5A

Your conscience tickles your heart.

Is it really fine to leave him die? The one who trusts me?

Jonathan will definitely expect you to come and help him. However, you are determined to run away. You will not help your people and Jonathan will most likely die in this useless battle. Your family will be sad. If they knew that you betrayed your friend and your people, they will be very ashamed.

Did Jonathan really believe that I would help him?

Maybe. But it's useless now. No need to think about this. You weren't born as the leader's son because you wanted to be.

Why do I have to fight this war?

Even though you are a fighter, you don't like fighting for something that you know you will lose. You lift the sword of your father. It shines gorgeously in the moonlight. You remember the name of it.
It's name is... Honor.

It was.

There isn't any honor for a sword, when the master doesn't have it in his own heart. You look around and see a tree that is familiar to you. It is the tree where your father used to take you to teach you how to fight. Under that tree, you used to practice, rest, get upset, or yell with joy depending on how your practice went. You walk slowly to it, and stab your sword into the ground.

Your honor will stay here.

You know that you will never be able to come back here, nor take Honor. Yet your steps are light. You slowly walk away to your new life.

The End
