You run out the door after Avery. She has disappeared beyond the ridge of the cliff. Quickly, you stand on the edge, looking down along the jagged rocks towards the sea. A form is scrambling amongst the rocks at the base of the cliffs, almost at the beach. As you gaze down the mist starts to reappear. It's coming from the sea foam that has brushed up against the sand. The mist is spreading out from the foam, looking as if it is forming shapes, recognizable shapes.
You jump to an overhanging rock and climb down until you are lying on a ledge that is closer to the scene that is unfolding beneath you. It is then that you notice your roommate walking towards the shapes in the mist. Avery's arm is outstretched toward a mysterious humanoid shape.
The shape the mist has taken is that of a Merrow—half human half fish. Its beautiful form sways with the wind and it speaks in an ethereal voice to your roommate.
Are they Coming? You must lower them down here.
"I'm working on it. It's harder than you think."
Hurry, time is almost up. But wait!
The mist points up to where you are hiding. Avery looks directly at you.
